Contact: Mary Kasinger, Administrator
In 2009, Tom and Rhesa Brewster saw a great need for a Christian in-home care company in the Dallas area and launched Heritage Keepers. The concept was to provide care for the physical needs of senior adults but to also address the emotional and spiritual needs by placing Christian caregivers with clients. By praying with clients and encouraging them in spiritual issues, it was hoped that this would fill a gap that was desperately needed in the senior community.
Years later, it is obvious that this approach has been successful. Heritage Keepers has worked with many seniors and families of seniors over these years and has been blessed to care for some wonderful people. Heritage Keepers’ caregivers are the life blood of the company and they do a wonderful job completing the “Circle of Care” for their clients.
Tom has been an entrepreneur since 2002, owning several businesses since then. Recently, he decided to go into full-time ministry leading a missions organization, Christian Hands In Action. He has left the reigns to Heritage Keepers to Mary Kasinger who has done a fantastic job taking care of our clients.
Mary Kasinger, Administrator — Mary’s heart for caring is evident in her life of serving the elderly. She was a caregiver herself for more than 5 years. She and her mother established Companion Sitter Service, Inc. Her company reached out to the needs of the elderly for over 30 years before she came to work with Tom Brewster at Heritage Keepers.
Mary considers her life a ministry for the Lord and cares deeply for all of her clients. She values her clients’ trust which they place in Heritage Keepers for the care of their loved ones. She cares about each of her valued caregivers and knows the great importance each of them demonstrates in the lives of the elderly they serve.
Mary loves living life with her husband Steven. Together, they serve with the women’s ministry in a local church. They have four children, two daughters-in law, two sons-in law, and seven beautiful grandchildren. She knows what the love of God has meant and continues to mean in all of their lives. Their children have active ministries throughout churches in the Dallas and Houston areas.
Lou Zibton, Office Manager — Lou has been working with Heritage Keepers since 2009 and was the first employee hired. She handles all of the administrative work including payroll, billing and scheduling. She has a background in accounting and office administration.
Lou has a heart for serving Heritage Keepers’ clients. She is the primary caregiver for her mom and has used that experience to help support the caregivers and daily operations of the company. She has two grown children and spends her free time with them every chance she has.
